Standard Field Sobriety Tests

The three standard DUI field sobriety tests that most police officers ask someone suspected of drunk driving to submit to include the horizontal gaze nystagmus test (HGN), the walk-and-turn test and the one-leg stand test. If these tests are not properly administered, they cannot be considered valid proof of intoxication.

Any nonstandard field sobriety tests you were asked to complete should not be considered valid evidence.
